Dear aLife family.,
By GOD’s grace, we were given again such an awesome, wonderful and
joyful CHRISTmas party last Sunday night!! All for His glory!!!
Another important legacy that we can all be thankful for! My sincere
appreciation for all the love, help, support and dedication!!!
Once again, our Roseville team have demonstrated their unique ability
to plan, prepare, host and deliver a “grandeur” party! You guys have
always exceeded everyone’s expectations! All the hard work,
preparation and patience will never be missed! Praise the LORD!
Just for a simple thought: whether it is a Christmas party, a
birthday party, a festivity or any celebration., for me, I look at it
as a bunch of beautiful flowers! As a group, they reflect joyful
moments, the value of life, the fragrance of goodness, the selfless
kindness, and a sense of showing the best of our lives!
Yet flowers are varied and yet every one of them is beautiful … and
a bunch of them grab our attention!
I would like to sincerely appreciate all the BAS groups for all their
wonderful presentations! Just like a bunch of flowers, it all
delivered the unfolding purpose of that blessed evening…
The first group: sparked the audience with the excitement and joy of Christmas!
The second group: dazzled and awed the audience with the wonder of Christmas!
The third group: touched and inspired everyone with the true meaning
of Christmas (i.e., we are the reason for His coming)!
If everyone can just look at the BIG picture objectively (by putting
aside personal preferences), one will see that it was not accident
that the sequence of the presentations came as ONE big message of
CHRISTmas! The first was the “renewing” of joy for the coming
Immanuel; the second was the “rejoicing” at the Savior’s birth; and
the third was the “receiving” of Christ as our LORD! Three important
“Rs” – renewing, rejoicing, receiving!!! Sounds like the events in
Luke 2:8-20. (Hmm., can be a great sermon for next year!!!)
No wonder, all the people were blessed by the total impact of the
presentations (in fact, a lot of people were in tears!). Wow, the
Holy Spirit moved so strong that night too!
HOWEVER, from time to time, we need to remind ourselves that what we
are doing is all for the glory of GOD! We allowed and injected the
competitive spirit among ourselves for fun, enjoyment, and at the same
time, motivate everyone to strive for better presentation to give
glory to GOD (and not men!). Therefore, let us GUARD our hearts
against any “spirit of obsession”… but rather overcome it
continually with the right “spirit of passion” unto the LORD!
Here’s the BOTTOM LINE: on a “higher” sense, we know that there are NO
losers NOR winners., remember, it’s not about us, it is ALL for HIM.
… And if you missed this important purpose, then you maybe missing
the “beauty” of the flowers, instead, you maybe distracted by its
“thorns”!
Psalm 25:9 “He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way.”
So, merry CHRISTmas and a joyful new year!!! See you at the top! GOD bless…
Thanks
